Tag challenge and Canvas

August 26, 2007

One of our regular subscribers, Leila Norton, has kindly sent me some of pictures of her recent work. She’s been creating up a storm with Fi’s tag challenge, and has some gorgeous takes on the words suggested. She’s also sent in a photograph of a canvas she’s created from the Dare to be Different Kit. As I said to Leila, I don’t know how she’s done it but she’s managed to combine papers from the June Free Spirit kit with the August kit, and the result is just beautiful.

Scrap Pink with Paper Pesto

August 22, 2007

As part of a worldwide scrapbooking for breast cancer weekend at the end of September, we have decided to join Kiwi Scraps’ initiative and host a day to support this worthy cause.

The event will be held on Sunday 30th September from 10am -4pm at Atomic Coffee Roasters Cafe in Kingsland. Cost will be $20 for the day. All proceeds will go to the NZ Breast Cancer Research fund.

Paper Pesto will be donating materials for classes etc. We will be offering a layout class, card making class and make ‘n takes. There will also be some great prizes and competitions running throughout the day. Several of our Design Team have given their time and support by offering to teach and help us out on the day.

We will provide ‘real’ coffee and some refreshments but you will need to bring or buy your own lunch.

It’s going to be a fun and fantastic day and a chance to raise some money for an important cause.

Places will be limited as the space is not huge so please pre-register your interest by emailing contactus@paperpesto.co.nz and we will confirm your place once payment is received. A schedule of events will be posted shortly.

More information soon, hope to see you there!!

xx Kate.

“Simplicity”. So I will keep it simple and leave you with some photos.

Have fun, Fi.

Tag challenge #3 word- TIME

August 5, 2007

Hi All

For me this word links to the second tag challenge word. It’s been two weeks since I wanted to play more, and have I …? Not much. See, the problem is time. Where does it go? I want more, but need some sleep. So staying up later and waking up earlier isn’t the answer.

For you this word may trigger other thoughts like “Time to..”, “Time I..”, “Time for..” etc.

We would love to see some of your tags, so please contact us if you would like to share any with us.

Have a great week.
