SCKC needs your help!

February 22, 2008

Can you make up some simple 6×6 pages for a good cause?

SCKC stands for Southern Cross Kids Camp which is held in Australia in April for ‘at risk’ kids yearly. The wonderful buddies on the camp make up 20 page albums with all the kids photo’s and memories from camp for them to take home and cherish. It brings a smile to their face and a tear to their eye. For some kids these will be the only photo’s taken of them for an entire year.

This year there are 80 kids who need 20 pages each -a whopping 1600 pages.

This Page Drive is being held by the wonderful Julie Stone and supported here in NZ by the exquisite Trina McClune and the brilliant Nic Howard.

For each set of 8 pages you send Trina or Nic(although they will accept any amount) they will enter you in the draw for some great prizes including one from us.

So go take a look at their blogs and find out how you may be able to help this very worthy cause!

February Kit creations slide show

February 20, 2008

In a few short days we will be starting the sneak peaks for our March Kit and a new competition along with it, but before we do I thought it would be nice to give you all a summary of the gorgeous creations made with our February kit.

Please note all these layouts can now be viewed over in our gallery. We remove the layouts from this blog each month to consolidate the number of entries, and hopefully make it easier for you to find specific kit layouts in the one place (click on “February Be Loved Kit” in the Categories section on the Gallery page).

Enjoy! xx Kate, Steph and Fi.

February 17, 2008

I couldn’t help myself ,so here is the slight modifications.

Fi’s take on the sketch challenge

February 16, 2008

I tipped the sketch on its side. I was just about all done when Daniel came into my scrap-room and took one look at my layout and said “oh man I remember this, Alien Workshop deck, venture trucks, pig grip and spitfire wheels”. I got caught up in his enthusiasm and decided to grunge it up by circling these items and writing what they are. Bad move, so so so bad, but what can I do it’s there now and I’m not a digi scrapper, so it’s there to stay.

I have stuck to it pretty closely! This is the first time I’ve used a sketch and must say it was a very useful tool to get the inspiration flowing! I used paper from Jan’s kit, stickers from September and alphabet from October’s kit.The bazzill was from my own stash.

Don’t forget entries close tomorow night 9m, gotta be in to win! Just leave a link to your layout/blog post in the comments section.

Sketch Challenge #1 update.

February 14, 2008

Hi all,

Just a reminder that our sketch challenge ends on the 16th at 9pm. We have had some fantastic entries and will be sharing these on the blog in the days after the challenge closes as well as drawing the prize winner.

We’d also love to see and display on the blog any creations you’ve made with our February kit and I’m sure we can rustle up a spot prize for this too.

In the next few weeks we will also be starting a tips and techniques corner so if you have any helpful hints you would like to share we would love to hear from you. Please email kate @ paperpesto.co.nz.

Happy Thursday everyone!

xx Kate, Steph and Fi.
