Cards are an easy way to use up the leftovers from your kit. A great idea is to make a card everytime you make a layout with the bits you have out already. This way you accumulate quite a stash and always have something for those occasions when you need a card.

I still have a couple of the April kits left so if you havent seen the full kit contents check it out here!

Memories – Hannah Blair

It’s not often you come across a giant carrot so it’s well worth getting a picture when you do!

Hannah has done a great job of tearing and curling paper on this page and the cut out flowers and rub ons are easy but effective embellishments.

Live out Loud – Lesley Cooper

This is such a cool photo of Lesley’s daughter! The rub on quotes are perfect for it as is the bright colour scheme of the page. I love the little tabs of ribbon up the side of the photo and the way Lesley has layered up the patterned papers.

Bond – Lesley Cooper

lobond2

This is a beautiful page, so many little intricate details and all about such an important subject, the bond of family.

I can’t say it better than Lesley did;

Bond – I wanted to use the Russian Dolls symbolically and as they represent fertility and motherhood. I decided I wanted to do a layout about the bond my daughter, me, my mum and my grandmother (mum’s mum) have although we are generations apart. I have painted the frame with crackle paint.

The Great Egg Hunt – Lesley Cooper

A lovely Easter Layout from Lesley of her children on their Egg hunt. Great action shots that are perfect on that green background with buttons and a tag cut from the Kaiser Craft paper.

Kits available to purchase here!

Dare to Dream – Hannah Blair

I’m loving the combination of different blues and greens on this page. It’s perfect for a  photo like this of Hannah’s boys tucked up having a morning giggle in bed.

Kits are still available to purchase here

Chihuly – Sue Smith

April 17, 2009

Sue says – On the Chihuly LO I used the beads from last month, to try and give the flowers a feel of cactus flowers.

I think the way Sue has stitched strips of patterned paper behind her photo is very effective and adds to the feel of the pointy glass sculptures.

Great work Sue! Thanks very much for being our guest designer this month.

This extremely versatile kit is still available to purchase here

Have a great weekend everyone!
