First Fish – Kate

I’ve been meaning to scrap this neat photo for a few years now. Isabella was 4 and is now 6 1/2! I just love the expression on her face. I decided to use strip journaling to tell the story because I really want to remember this one!

The journalling reads: Not long after we moved to Island Bay Road your dad took you down to fish off the wharf. You raced up the hill to show me what you had caugh. You were fascinated yet repulsed at the same time. We had to keep it in the freezer in an Ice-cream container and whenever somebody came over you would take it out and show it to them. Each time you did this it would defrost a little. It got very smelly and in the end we had to throw it out.

I used 2×2 inch squares of Jenni Bowlin paper behind the photo which is matted on black and the layout base is A/C Pomegranate. I’ve used stickers from the JB Apocathery sheet, thickers, metal clip and a pearl.

This is great, Kate! LOve the expression on your daughters face! If you are up at Mathesons, Ti Point wharf is great for fishing with the kids.
