World Card Making Day is coming up on October 4. Many scrapbookers often start and hone their paper-craft skills making cards. They’re always good to have on hand, and are quick and easy to make (they’re something I actually have a chance of completing).
Here are some card ideas made using the latest Paper Pesto October kit. This was such a versatile collection – I was able to put together 3 very different looks in no time at all.
In honour of World Card Making Day we’d like to put a little challenge forward to you. Make a card (any sort) and send us a photo to be in to win a spot prize. You can either link to your blog from this post or email Kate at email@example.com.

Hi all and welcome to our sketch challenge for July. Wow, I can’t believe it’s July already, we’re on the home stretch to Christmas!
This sketch was taken from Becky Flecks Page Maps. It’s a nice simple one that could be interpreted and mixed up in a number of ways.
Now, to participate in this challenge and get into the random prize draw you need to complete a page and either email it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or post it on your blog (if you have one) and leave a link here.
All entries need to be in by the 17th of July 9pm, so you have two weeks starting now!
Good Luck everyone!!

These 12 layouts below have been selected from the finalists entries for our Guest designer search.
Yes 12! It was sooo hard to choose, so we have decided to find our permanent team for Jan to Jun 2009 while we are here.
This is where you come in! Take a good look at the following layouts and pick your 4 favourites. Email your choices to me at email@example.com by Saturday night. The 4 ladies with the most votes will make up our team for next year and the 8 others will be our guest designers for the next 8 months.
It’s up to you!!

Have fun and good luck!

Big congratulations to Beverley whose name was drawn to receive the prize for taking part in the sketch challenge.
Thanks to all those who entered, must say it was a little quiet this month! You’ll have to give it a go next time!
xx the PP girls.

We are looking for 4 people to take up guest designer positions for the months of July through Dec.
If chosen you will receive a kit for your selected month and with it will need to create 4 layouts, one of which will have simple class instructions for our customers to follow if they choose. All projects created will be yours to keep, we require good quality emailed photographs only.
If you are interested please forward 2 creative samples and a paragraph about yourself to email@example.com (please keep the file sizes small). Please make sure these samples are a typical representation of your current scrapbooking style.
Genuine, committed people only to apply please. No previous design team is necessary but you must be passionate about our kits (as we are) and be prepared to promote them where you can.
We are doing something a little different this year in that the designers will be chosen by public vote (ok the readers of this blog lol).
We will post our 8 favorite entries on the blog anonymously and then take votes by email. This way there is no advantage by name recognition, all 8 will be in with a chance at the 4 spots.
This is open to New Zealand entries only. Customers and current DT members are more than welcome to apply.
All entries need to be in by 8pm on the 2nd of June 2008. Please email Kate if you have any questions firstname.lastname@example.org
Give it a go! You never know what might happen!
