Hi all and welcome to this month’s sketch challenge. Here is the sketch from Page Maps:

And here is an interpretation from Cathleen LaHay:

You can interpret this sketch any way you like. Just email your layout to me, kate@paperpesto.co.nz, or link a picture on your blog to this post by the 21st of August 08.

Every entry will go in the draw to win a prize and will be shown in a slide-show at the end of the challenge.

Good luck and don’t be shy, we’d love to see what you can do with this one!

Sketch challenge winner and slideshow

July 17, 2008

Hi everyone!

I (Kate) am back, and here to stay, after a much needed break which wouldn’t have been possible without my very kind and generous partners Steph and Fi. Big thanks to Steph who filled my shoes on the blog for a wee while.

As most of you may know (or I could be being completely presumptuous here) I am currently ‘expecting’ baby no. 3. This has not been without it’s share of eventfulness to date but thankfully everything is now hunky dory and back to regular programming!

I have also just had a most excellent long weekend with my hubby sans children in the beautiful city of Wellington which has raised my spirits and lowered the stress levels considerably.

But enough about me, I know what you really want to hear is who won the sketch challenge!!

So the answer to that is dum dum dum…..

Sally!!!!!

Sally, I will email you and organise sending a lovely little prize your way.

Now here is the slide-show of all the beautiful entries we received.

And it only gets better, tomorrow’s Friday freebie day!!

xx Kate, Steph and Fi

David George Newth – Fi

July 17, 2008

Hi everyone

Here’s another layout using the Passages of Time kit. Fi has used her father-in-law as the subject, and it’s based on the sketch challenge layout. At first glance I thought it was Fi’s husband – the family resemblance is very strong!

Kate is back on board tomorrow, and will be bringing you a few insights into the new DT team’s world of scrapbooking.

More sketch challenge entries

July 16, 2008

Hi there

Here are some more entries in this month’s sketch challenge – one from Kris (who successfully managed to convert what appears on first glance to be quite a feminine sketch into a boy’s layout), and another from Trace in Canada, who cleverly used letter stickers as a mask for her title (that’s blue chalk forming the background).

Sketch Challenge Layouts

July 15, 2008

Hi everyone

The latest sketch challenge finishes on 17th July, and here are some entries from Sue, Sally and Tracy, and a digital layout by Jennifer (littlekiwi), based on the Becky Fleck pagemap posted on the blog. These are great thanks ladies. I know of other layouts that have been sent to Kate’s e-mail address – Kate’s away at the moment, so we’ll look forward to seeing those in due course.
